Who we are

Built by a hospital physio who got tired of not knowing who to recommend.

Working in a hospital, she didn’t have visibility into the private practice space — so when friends, family, and patients asked “which physio should I see for my dizziness?” or “who treats jaw pain?”, she often couldn’t give a confident answer. Find My Physio is the tool she built to solve that gap: a national directory that matches people to physios by what they actually treat, not just where they’re located.

Why choose us

A directory built around getting the match right.

  • 1. We match conditions, not just locations

Most directories are really just a list of clinics near you. We’re different: search “dizzy physio” and see physios who actually treat vestibular conditions — not just physios who happen to be close by.

  • 2. Every claim is AHPRA-compliant — verified, not just claimed

We only show what’s true: Clinical Focus Areas, Advanced Training, and AHPRA registration. The “Find My Physio Verified” badge means we’ve checked — we don’t just take a clinic’s word for it.

  • 3. No guessing, no wasted first appointments

You shouldn’t have to find out the hard way that your physio doesn’t have experience with your specific problem. We show you their real focus areas up front.

  • 4. Built by someone who’s lived the problem

This isn’t a generic directory guessing at what patients need. It was built by a practising hospital physiotherapist who saw the exact gap this platform fills — firsthand, repeatedly.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a physio actually treats my condition?

Every physio listed with a Premium profile shows their real Clinical Focus Areas and Advanced Training — not just a generic job title. You can see what they actually treat before you ever pick up the phone.

What does “Clinical Focus Area” mean?

It’s the AHPRA-compliant way to describe a physio’s area of focus. Physios in Australia can’t legally call themselves a “specialist” unless they hold a formal specialist title — so we use “Clinical Focus Area” and “Advanced Training In” instead, which tells you just as much without the misleading claim.

Is Find My Physio free to use?

Yes — searching and finding a physio on Find My Physio is completely free for patients. You pay the clinic directly for your appointment, the same as booking any other way.

Do I need a referral to see a physio I find here?

In most cases, no — you can book directly with a physiotherapist without a GP referral. If you’re using a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan or WorkCover, a referral may be required; check directly with the clinic.

What does the “Find My Physio Verified” badge mean?

It means we’ve checked that physio’s registration against the official AHPRA register ourselves. It’s not just a claim the clinic makes — we’ve verified it.

Is my information safe if I use “Email Me This Physio’s Details”?

Yes. We never collect health information, and we only ever send you the contact details you’ve specifically asked for. You still book and share any health information directly with the clinic, not with us.

I run a physio clinic — how do I get listed?

Every clinic gets a free basic listing automatically. To unlock your clinicians’ Clinical Focus Areas, the “Book Now” button, and the Verified badge, upgrade to a Premium Membership — or join the Founding 50 for a one-off $99 lifetime rate instead of $199/year. Visit our For Clinics page to get started.

Stop guessing. Start searching by what’s actually wrong.
